How does the matching work?

Your CV becomes a structured competence profile, then an embedding; we rank roles by semantic fit plus skill overlap, with penalties for language and seniority gaps, and your 👍/👎 refines results. It's competence-based, not just keyword-based.

Do I need to speak German?

Not for every role. We classify each role's working language and flag which are English-friendly or English-first, so you can filter to roles that fit your current German level.

What language should my CV be in?

English or German — either works. Matching runs on meaning, not wording, so your CV's language never limits which roles you're matched to: an English CV still surfaces German-language postings you fit, and vice versa. You can optionally set a language preference — like English-friendly roles only — to focus your results, but that's your choice, not something your CV's language decides.

Will these jobs sponsor my visa?

We estimate EU Blue Card and shortage occupation eligibility and surface the relevant legal paragraphs (e.g. § 18g AufenthG) for each role, so you can prioritise where you'd likely clear the bar. It's informational guidance — not legal advice.

Why aren't these roles on the big job boards?
