Job Description

A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Senior Energy Expert (f/m/d), no two days are the same. One day you are negotiating a multi-million-euro renewable energy contract with a wind farm developer, the next you are analyzing electricity market trends, advising senior management on procurement strategies, or collaborating with sustainability, finance, and legal teams to shape Siemens Energy’s decarbonization roadmap. You act as the interface between energy markets, commercial strategy, sustainability goals, and business operations. Your mission is to secure reliable, cost-competitive, and sustainable energy supply solutions while minimizing risk and supporting the company's net-zero ambitions.

This is a fixed-term position with a contract duration of 18 months.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Development and execution of global renewable energy sourcing and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) strategies End-to-end management of sourcing, negotiation, and contracting for physical and virtual PPAs Analysis of energy markets, pricing trends, and business cases to support long-term energy procurement decisions Management of commercial, financial, legal, and regulatory risks associated with energy contracts Cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to achieve sustainability and decarbonization objectives What You Bring

Master's degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field Extensive professional experience in energy procurement, energy markets, renewable energy, or energy trading Proven expertise in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), renewable energy sourcing, and energy market structures Strong commercial acumen, negotiation capabilities, and financial analysis skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in an international business environment Fluent English and German language proficiency About the Team
